Estimates, not a promise. These percentages are gear-ratio math and hold for any bike, gas or electric; horsepower does not change them, it only sets the scale of the comparison. Only the rear tire's overall diameter affects gearing; the front wheel does not. Diameter is worked out from the size printed on the tire (rim plus two sidewalls) and real tires vary by brand by a few percent. How much you feel depends on power, weight, tire size, terrain and, on electrics, controller settings. The top-speed figure assumes the engine or motor reaches the same RPM at full speed; a bike that runs out of power before it runs out of revs will see less change there, and will instead cruise at higher or lower RPM by the same percentage. Bigger rear sprockets need a longer chain and may need a chain guide or swingarm clearance check. Count your own teeth before ordering.
